Schipper and Rako settle.
Although it was never officially announced, it became generally known that in November 2007 German embossers Hologram Company Rako and its founding CEO Wilfried Schipper parted company. This was not an amicable split, with damaging accusations of improper and unbusiness like behaviour levelled by Ralph Koopman, majority owner of Rako. The case has now been settled in court and the following letter is, we understand, sent to Holography News by agreement of both parties.
Dear Mr Lancaster,
As you may already know I have not been working for Hologram Company RAKO since the end of 2007. The wrongful allegations that I have been accused of created deep discord and division between Mr Koopmann and me and prevented any further co-operation between us.
Eventually and after many months in Court, our disagreement was resolved by a Notarial Act dated 8 October 2008 and both parties had to retract their wrongful accusations and allegations which have now been fulfilled. The Notarial Act exonerates me from any wrongdoing and confirms that, during the time as Managing Director of Hologram Company RAKO, I correctly discharged my duties and obligations to the company and its shareholders and to the best of my abilities and in accordance with the terms of my employment contract.
Unfortunately Mr Koopmann tried to do everything possible, in my opinion, to attack my personal credibility and good name in order to damage my good relationships with my business contacts. Now that the confrontation and dispute with Mr Koopmann is finished, it is important for me to let all of my business friends, customers and suppliers, with whom I have worked and trusted over the years, to know that all the wrongful accusations and allegations have been retracted and deemed to be unfounded.
As I have now officially and by Notarial Deed sold all my shares in the Hologram Company RAKO to Mr Koopmann at an objectively-calculated and determined price, this now leaves me completely free and unhindered, especially by any non-competition restrictions, to pursue my professional and business activities in the holographic, authentication and document security print industries and markets for which I have worked and helped develop to grow for the last 25 years.
I am now an independent professional able to offer my services once again.
With kind regards
