By Alexandria Dennise San Juan

A scavenger whose throat was slashed was found lifeless inside a pedicab on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City Monday afternoon.

Police only described the man to be between 20 and 25 years old, wearing a green long sleeves shirt and black cargo pants.

Police said that the man was a known scavenger in the area but residents couldn't identify him.

According to two vendors, they were walking along Commonwealth Avenue around 1:30 p.m. when they saw the man inside a pedicab, with blood stains on his body.

They reported the incident to barangay officers and police who later found out that the victim's shirt was full of blood.

Responding officers noted that the victim's throat was slashed.
