Scandal of surgery cut; VOICE OF THE.

BEHIND every operation cancelled because Tory austerity has left too few hospital beds and staff, there is a worried, frightened patient.

The statistics are shocking and the pain and suffering are indefensible.

Sick people are being put through the wringer by a Government which knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

When tens of thousands of postponed ops can be blamed on poor NHS funding, the Tories' failed austerity ideology is as much a problem as the Conservatives themselves.

We love the NHS. Staff perform near miracles daily. But the NHS requires money and love to nurture it back to health after nearly nine years of historically low funding.

We are proud of the health service, but imagine how much prouder we could be if it had the resources for extra beds and workers.
