The US-based digital imaging software provider ScanSoft Inc has released Developer's Kit 2000 version 10, designed for developing applications that require multiple recognition technologies.

The latest version offers increased accuracy with new and improved recognition engines, and increased flexibility for the integration of OCR, ICR, Bar Code, MICR and OMR. It features updated output filters for Microsoft Word and Excel to better maintain original page layout in output text, and recognises a total of 114 languages.

Three configurations are available: the Professional Recognition Kit, the Professional OCR Kit and the C Developer Kit. Pricing ranges from USD2,495 to USD6,990.
