Scale Computing's SMB-Optimized Storage Solutions Now Available from Ingram Micro Inc.

Resellers Sales Representatives Can Earn Up To $1,000 per Each New Customer Signed In Q4

INDIANAPOLIS -- Scale Computing, a developer and manufacturer of complete, end-to-end midmarket clustered storage solutions, today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM), the world's largest technology distributor, making the manufacturer's award-winning, end-to-end midmarket storage solutions available to the distributor's growing base of U.S. reseller partners.

VARs and other solution providers can now purchase Scale storage products supported by Ingram Micro's robust services offerings and as part of larger, more extensive IT solutions. Plus, to introduce its products to this new customer base, Scale is offering a spiff of up to $1,000 per net-new customer signed in Q4 2010. See spiff details below.

Launched in the United States in 2007, Scale has quickly become a storage powerhouse by combining enterprise-level performance, ease-of-management and commodity hardware. The result is affordable, flexible and robust storage with a low total cost of ownership.

With company growth accelerated by an expanding storage market being driven by legislation such as HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as the move to server virtualization, Scale is also expanding its reach domestically and internationally. In addition to signing a U.S. distribution agreement with Ingram Micro, Scale recently moved into the Japanese and United European markets.

Affordable High-Performance Solutions

Scale's latest product, the N05 StorageNode, offers 1.5 TB of storage capacity and features the company's Intelligent Clustered Storage[TM] (ICS) technology. With a price point of $7,500, the N05 is the ideal combination of low price and high performance to best serve the virtualization, archiving and overall storage needs of small-to-medium businesses (SMBs).

With Scale's N05 storage nodes, customers can purchase storage as needed, use SAN and NAS in the same cluster at the same time, and control storage with a simple web-based user interface. The N05 includes many of the same enterprise-class features as the S and Performance lines (R Series) of products, including advanced replication and multipathing, as well as scalability.
