Sausage as Euphemism.

While cleaning out a desk drawer
I came upon an old stenographers notebook
In which I had written the word "sausage"
Fifteen times.
On the same page I had also written
"Ambition is the last refuge of failure,"
A quote from some pundit facsimile,
               and
"You Got to Keep the Devil Down in the Hole"
Which was sung at the beginning of
Every episode in the TV series "The Wire."
Lastly I had written:
Go east on 13th and tum right at Hillside.
All this is fairly rational except for the sausage
Which serves to hide either
an extreme fit of anger or a silent loathing.

I can't remember which.
