The government of Saudi Arabia has said that it would offer no social insurance for expatriates when they are on holiday.

The General Organization of Social Insurance (GOSI) said that from next year it would halt the vocational hazard insurance coverage for expatriates who leave Saudi Arabia for a holiday. Further, it was also announced that the payment of subscriptions during vacations would be stopped.

However, expatriates will be able to avail themselves of these benefits on returning to the Kingdom.
