Saudi Embassy in contact with German authorities over death of cyclist.
ARAB NEWS Courtesy photo BERLIN: The Saudi Embassy in Berlin is in contact with the German Foreign Ministry regarding the death of a German citizen whose bicycle was hit by a car belonging to the Saudi diplomatic mission in Germany. The Saudi Embassy expressed its regret over the incident and offered condolences to the family of the deceased, a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said. The statement said that Saudi Charge D'Affaires Adnan Bustaji will be accompanied by a diplomatic delegation from the embassy to visit the family of the deceased and offer condolences. The embassy expressed deep regret at the death of the German citizen, who was riding his bicycle in the city on Tuesday before the collision. The statement said that after opening the driver's door of the car that belongs to one of the members of the mission, the German biker hit the door and fell on the ground, causing him injuries which led to transferring him to a hospital in the city. The 51-year-old German later died.
