Saudi `no' to Iraq war.

SAUDI Arabia last night told President George W Bush he couldn't use the country as the base for attacks on Iraq.

Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal said his country would not join forces, even if the US secured United Nations backing for an attack.

The move threw American plans to topple Saddam Hussein into chaos. The prince said: "We will abide by the decision of the UN Security Council and we will co- operate with them.

"But as to entering the conflict or using facilities - that is something else.''

Meanwhile, Saddam said Iraq was ready to fight and would be "no walk- over".
