Sat Space Africa bolsters its coverage.

Sat Space Africa, a Naminbia-based provider of satellite internet services in Africa, has strengthened its coverage on the continent after gaining additional capacity on the AFRICASAT-1a satellite.

Sat Space Africa forged a three year agreement for capacity on the satellite from its Malaysian operator, MEASAT Satellite Systems.

"AFRICASAT-1a will enhance our C-band coverage offerings over Africa and provide high capacity connectivity solutions for ISPs, SMEs and the enterprise market," said Shimri Lotan, managing director, Sat Space Africa.

Raj Malik, senior VP- sales and marketing, MEASAT, said: "MEASAT is pleased to support Sat Space Africa's efforts to promote high-speed, reliable internet connectivity across Africa. AFRICASAT-1a's high-powered C-Band beams will provide the required capacity, speed and stability for these services."
