Sartorius AG revenues rose 4.9% to 233.2 million [euro] ($295.2 million) in the first half of 2005. Biotechnology Division sales grew 8.3% to 120.9 [euro] ($153.0 million) and Mechatronics Division sales rose 1.5% to 112.3 million [euro] ($142.2 million). Asian Pacific sales rose 14.1%, European sales grew 5.8% and North American sales rose 2.6%. During the first half, the Biotechnology Division was streamlined. Biotechnology president Dr. Eric Janssens resigned from the board. Reinhard Vogt assumed the responsibility for the division's Worldwide Sales and Marketing, and Volker Niebel assumed responsibility for its R&D, Production and Supply Chain Management.
