SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte - If she were in the shoes of elder brother, Paolo "Pulong" Duterte, Hugpong ng Pagbabago chairperson and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte said she will not show to the public if she had any tattoo on her back.
Duterte told reporters that her brother need not expose his back to show an alleged tattoo mark of a dragon unless ordered by the courts.
"Sa akin? Of course not," the lady mayor vehemently stated when asked if she will show her back if placed in the same situation as Pulong. (For me?)
"I've my right to privacy. Unless there is a case about my tattoo, then sinabi ng judge na ipakita mo tattoo mo, that is the only time na magpapakita ako ng tattoo voluntarily," she explained. (The only time I will show my tattoo is when there is a case and the judge ordered me)
Duterte joined a jampacked political rally for the HNP senatorial candidates and to sign an agreement of alliance with Abante Surigao, a regional political organization formed by brothers Rep. Robert Ace Barbers and former Governor Lyndon Barbers, who is on a comeback bid for his old seat.
Members of the opposition senatorial slate Otso Diretso have dared Paolo to support his claims of innocence to accusations of his links to big time drug trafficking that was made by a certain "Bikoy" on a viral internet video entitled "Totoong Narco list"
Otso Diretso senatorial hopeful Florin Hilbay and Gary Alejano hurled the challenge during a campaign sortie at the Baseco compound in Port area, Manila last Friday.
"Bikoy" claimed that Duterte benefited from him, saying that he can prove his allegations as the president's eldest son supposedly has a dragon tattoo on his back where there is an inscription of the code "Alpha Tierra 0029".
He claimed that Pulong uses this code in a supposed bribery scheme for drug trafficking under the so-called "tara" system.
Mayor Duterte aired the belief that she was the target of the series of scathing video episodes that has alleged that her family and close associates have links to drugs and other irregularities.
"Sabi ko naman, madaming anti-duterte adminsitration. Anyone of them can come up with a narcolist," she said Tuesday. (I had told you there are many who are against the Duterte administration)
She denied worrying about the videos, saying that these were lies anyway.
Earlier, Pulong accused Senator Antonio Trillanes IV as the person behind the allegedly false accusations hurled against him.
"If there's anything admirable about Mr. Antonio Trillanes, it is his relentlessness and talent to turn the absurd into something ridiculous, if not bizarrely entertaining," said the presidential son in his statement.
"He may deny it, but the video supposedly showing my involvement in the illegal drug trade in the country has been clearly stamped with the indelible Trillanes signature of being a desperate mercenary, one who has done nothing good but attack the government," he said.
