Santander UK, the British arm of the Spanish financial services provider Grupo Santander, on Thursday reported that the Santander Foundation has given a GBP4,750 grant to Dartmoor Zoological Society.
Dartmoor Zoological Society is expected to use the donation to improve visitor access to the animal enclosures at the zoo. Funds will cover the costs of materials and machinery to improve walkways and paths at the zoo so that all visitors can easily access the enclosures.
The Santander Foundation provides grants to UK registered charities for projects which assist disadvantaged people in local communities.
Branch manager at Santander's Plympton branch, Rowena Crosby, commented "The Santander Foundation makes hundreds of donations every year to good causes throughout the UK. Our branch is committed to playing a key part in the community and we are delighted to be supporting Dartmoor Zoological Society."
