Sandy was a life long resident of the Milford area and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1964. She was the owner and proprietor of the Wildwood Lounge in Upton for many years until she retired in November 2010. Sandy was a lifetime member of the Nipmuc Rod and Gun Club in Upton where she had served on the Board of Directors in various roles. She was an avid fundraiser and held many fund raising events, raising thousands of dollars for various charities and causes. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, cooking and spending time at her beloved sea side summer home on West Island in Fairhaven, MA where she lived until recently. She was a lover of antiques and could never pass up a good yard sale. Sandy and her family would like to thank Jayme Armstrong, a close longtime friend, for her compassion, support and care that she provided. It was Sandy's wishes that no services be held. A memorial and fundraising event will be held in her honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandy's memory to the VNA and Hospice of Milford, 37 Birch St. Milford, MA 01757.
Arrangements are under the direction of the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, Milford.
