Safety training.

The machinery division of TUV SUD Product Service will be running four sessions of its University Certificate in Professional Development (UCPD) course on European Machinery Safety this autumn. The UCPD course consists of five days' training covering the regulatory framework relating to machine safety, followed by a 16-week long distance learning programme which allows participants to complete their final assessment using TIV SID's virtual reality package. The dates and locations for the UCPD Courses are-

* Monday 17 September 2012-Billingham

* Monday 22 October 2012-Solihull

* Monday 19 November 2012-Fareham

* Monday 3 December 2012-Scotland The UCPD courses are University accredited and thereby meet the highest standards. They also offer successful participants University credits that can be used towards additional formal qualifications
