SafeNet Announces New SafeEnterprise Security System; High Assurance Security System Centered on Strong Security Products.
BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 2003
SafeNet (Nasdaq: SFNT), a leading provider of private and public network security solutions who has set the industry standard for VPN technology and secure business communications, today announced the availability of the SafeEnterprise(TM) Security System, a complete WAN and VPN system for integrated high assurance network security. The SafeEnterprise Security System is comprised of solid security products including VPN clients and appliances, and a central management system--the only enterprise security management application on the market that provides a single, dedicated application for securely managing appliances for ATM, Frame, Link, and IP networks.
According to the 2002 Computer Crime and Security Survey, ninety percent of large corporations and government agencies detected security breaches within the last 12 months, with eighty percent of those corporations acknowledging financial losses due to those breaches. The SafeEnterprise Security System can thwart these attacks with the most advanced security technology on the market today.
"SafeNet has been providing unmatched security solutions for 20 years now. This system exists because of that security expertise, in combination with the expertise from the recently acquired Cylink Corporation. The SafeEnterprise Security System is the only security solution in the industry today that provides complete security for all types of networks, while providing seamless migration from WAN solutions to more cost-effective VPN solutions," said Chris Fedde, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Security Division of SafeNet. "With the introduction of the SafeEnterprise Security System, we are defining high assurance security and creating an unprecedented system for sensitive and classified government use as well as unclassified-but-sensitive commercial use."
Offering a range of products to meet the needs for corporations of all sizes, the SafeEnterprise Security System provides the enterprise user with a complete system solution that has the flexibility and scalability to keep pace with networks as they evolve. The system supports increased network capacity and speed, as well as evolution from one protocol or topology to another, without wholesale replacement of the security infrastructure. The SafeEnterprise Security System leverages existing infrastructures in point-to-point, nested, hub-and-spoke, or fully meshed configuration, and works seamlessly with new network topologies to provide the highest levels of encryption and authentication in the industry. The system's unique security management capabilities enable centralized, secure management of systems that can scale to accommodate many thousands of devices.
The SafeEnterprise Security System consists of the recently announced HighAssurance(TM) Remote VPN Client, the new HighAssurance(TM) 500, 1000, 2000, and 4000 Gateways, SafeEnterprise Link, Frame, and ATM Encryptors, and a new cornerstone management system, the SafeEnterprise Security Management Center (SMC).
SafeEnterprise Security System Components:
