Swedish defence, aviation and space group Saab announced today (4 March) that it had, together with HITT Traffic, RUAG Aerospace and Frequentis, signed a Memorandum of understanding to optimise the interoperability of their air traffic management products.

"TAPtools (Tower and Airport Tools) will become a brand name for products with an assured high quality standard, added inter-product functionality within the product family, general compatibility through standardised interfaces, low lifecycle cost and supported by joint and harmonised research and development by the partners," Saab said in a statement.
