SYSTEMS CENTER ANTICIPATES SECOND QUARTER LOSS
SYSTEMS CENTER ANTICIPATES SECOND QUARTER LOSS RESTON, Va., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Systems Center, Inc.
(NYSE: SMX), today announced that the company anticipates a significant operating loss for the second quarter ending June 30.
Revenues for the second quarter are expected to be above the $30.3 million reported in the comparable period of 1991, but lower than Wall Street estimates. The revised forecast reflects slower-than-planned growth in both domestic and international markets. "Despite the expected second quarter shortfall, we remain confident. We have a sound product strategy and strong alliances with major partners, and we are receiving a positive response from our recently introduced SOLVE family of products," said Robert E. Cook, chairman and CEO. "As we move forward, we are focused on significant opportunities for growth as well as prudent expense management." The company plans to release actual second quarter results on July 27 as previously scheduled. Systems Center, Inc., develops, markets, and supports systems and network management software. The company's products assist in the automation and control of mixed computing environments and are marketed in 60 countries worldwide. -0- 6/30/92 /CONTACT: G. Gordon M.
