SYRIA - Jafra Gas Separation Plant.
The plant processes some of the associated gases produced by DEZPC's Jafra and Attala North oilfields.
New Deir Ez Zor Plant: SPC is to have a plant built in the Deir Ez Zor area to treat and process 175 MCF/day of associated gas to be gathered from the oilfields of AFPC, BOC, BPC and DEZPC. This will be on stream by mid-2001 as part of a system being developed for SPC by Conoco/Elf, under a service contract signed in late 1998 and approved by parliament in April 1999.
The project involves 22 oilfields and the plant will be producing LPG/NGLs as well. Most of the output will be for the domestic market, with some of the dry gas to be exported to Lebanon by pipeline (see Gas Market Trends No. 11 of next week).
