 ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Syntrex Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Phoenix Technologies, Inc., and a technology leader in network integration services, announced that it has expanded its Telephone Support offerings. The company's new support programs better reflect the complexity of its clients' networks, including their application level requirements, such as Lotus Notes. Syntrex made the announcement here at Lotusphere '93, the conference for Lotus Development Business Partners, Professional Developers, and Notes Users.  "By targeting our Telephone Support programs to the complexity of their network environments, our customers will immediately receive the appropriate level of support, resulting in more effective and faster problem resolution," stated Grace Carr, Vice-President of Marketing for Syntrex. The Telephone Support programs are an integral part of Syntrex's Maintenance and Support Services. These programs are designed to augment a client's in-house support staff, and are intended to keep the client's network and applications running smoothly during a client's business hours, or 24-hours-a-day, 7 days a week.
 Syntrex offers Telephone Support for Lotus Notes and other application level products, including WordPerfect Office and Microsoft Office environments. "With Notes support from Syntrex, we're able to keep our mission critical sales forecasting and technical support programs up all the time. Syntrex has been instrumental in keeping our 'virtual offices' continuously informed via mail services," commented Gary Rapp, Network Administrator for Cyrix Corporation. Cyrix, headquartered in Dallas, designs, develops and markets high performance microprocessors and math coprocessors for the personal computer industry. Their Notes applications, integrated by Syntrex, support the company's sales forecasting, sales force automation and technical support needs.
 Syntrex's support for Notes includes the underlying NOS, and is offered with two levels of support Primary and Premium. Within the Primary and Premium programs, end-users will be allowed to select options that will provide the level of Notes and NOS support most appropriate to the complexity of their network environments. Clients in the Primary program automatically receive unlimited telephone support and a subscription to leading technical NOS journals. The Premium Support clients receive all of the Primary program services, plus additional publications, access to Syntrex's Technical Bulletin Board Service (BBS), a server-based events monitor and on-site use of industry standard network analyzers when needed.
 Both the Primary and Premium programs offer the same options when higher levels of support are required. Option 1 provides support for non-complex network environments, specifically file, print and mail services. Option 2 is intended for more complex networks, for example a Wide Area Network (WAN) within a multiprotocol environment. Option 3 provides support for the most complex networks, which might include mixed operating system environments, multiple application servers or bridging and routing environments.
 Pricing for the new Primary and Premium Support programs will generally be less expensive than the previous services for clients requiring minimal support, with upgraded pricing for higher level support requirements. Syntrex will introduce the new Support programs and pricing structure beginning in 1994.
