SYNERCOM ANNOUNCES SIGNING OF AUTHORIZED SALES REPRESENTATIVE AGREEMENT

HOUSTON, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Synercom Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: SYNR) announced today that an authorized sales representative agreement has been executed with Intergraph Corporation. During the three-year term of this agreement, Intergraph and Synercom will jointly promote Intergraph products to Synercom's existing customer base and provide transitional services for customers migrating from Synercom's AM/FM GIS products (INFORMAP and related products) to comparable Intergraph products. Synercom will discontinue marketing efforts of INFORMAP and related products; however, during the term of this agreement, Synercom will continue to provide maintenance. This agreement provides for a guaranteed commission to Synercom for its efforts.
Synercom continues to focus on providing solutions in the arena of combining work management and AM/FM functionalities to solve organizational business problems. In order to achieve this objective, the company is actively marketing WMIS, its work management information system, through direct sales and through relationships with other companies such as Intergraph. The company is currently implementing WMIS at five customer sites.
Larry Ayers, executive vice president of Intergraph's mapping sciences division, said, "The companies are committed to preserve the AM/FM/GIS database investment of existing Synercom customers. In addition, this agreement enhances the business relationship between the companies. Currently, Intergraph and Synercom are implementing AM/FM and work management solutions at two customer sites. Intergraph believes that Synercom's WMIS is an industry preferred work management solution."
David Stewart, president and chief executive officer of Synercom, states that, "This agreement enables Synercom to reach its goal of developing a growth path for the future while preserving our INFORMAP customers' investment in their systems and data. This agreement coupled with the expected continued success of WMIS and past personnel and expense reductions should improve the financial performance of Synercom in the future."
Synercom is a supplier of cost-effective solutions for utility operations worldwide in the management of their work processes and related facilities and resources. Synercom common stock is traded on the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol SYNR.
