 SYMIX SYSTEMS, INC. REPORTS PRELIMINARY RESULTS FOR
 FOURTH QUARTER AND FISCAL YEAR END
 COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Symix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS: SYMX) today announced preliminary unaudited results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended June 30, 1992. Final audited results for the quarter and year end are scheduled to be announced on or about Aug. 20, 1992.
 For the quarter, net revenues were approximately $7.8 million, an increase of 39 percent over the same quarter last year, and a 25 percent increase over fiscal third quarter net revenues. Net income for the quarter was approximately $350,000 ($0.12 per share), compared to $431,000 ($0.15 per share) in the prior year quarter, and $132,000 ($0.05 per share) in the fiscal third quarter.
 For the fiscal year ended June 30, 1992, net revenues were approximately $26.6 million, an increase of 34 percent over fiscal 1991. Net income for the year was approximately $1.3 million ($0.46 per share), compared to $1.7 million ($0.73 per share) in fiscal 1991.
 Larry J. Fox, Symix's chairman and chief executive officer, stated that he was pleased with results for the fourth quarter, which came in ahead of internal plans. "The last three quarters of the year have surpassed internal plans, and the pipeline for new orders remains strong," Fox said. "We have experienced increasing momentum in our business, and we are optimistic about the outlook for a return to record financial performance in fiscal 1993."
