CUPERTINO, Calif., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced the promotion of Dana E. Siebert to vice president, international sales. In this new position, Siebert will establish the policies and procedures to support Symantec's sales in Europe, Australia, Latin America, Africa and Asia. In addition, he will develop the company's strategic plan to expand its business opportunities in the Japanese market.
Siebert was formerly based in Leiden, Holland, to oversee the establishment of Symantec's European headquarters. He will relocate to the company's Cupertino headquarters to assume his new position.
"Dana has built the international group from the ground up," said John C. Laing, vice president, sales. "The tremendous growth of Symantec's international revenues over the last four years can be traced to Dana's personal dedication and total commitment to success. He has assembled a strong international team who share his passion for excellence."

Prior to joining THINK Technologies, Siebert was senior international marketing specialist at Wang Laboratories and worked in the marketing and sales organizations at ComputerLand Corp. and Burroughs Corp. Siebert graduated cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor's degree in business administration.
