SWISSAIR SELECTS WICAT FOR FLIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
 AND MD-80 TRAINING DEVELOPMENT
OREM, Utah, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Wicat Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: WCAT) announced today that its subsidiary, Wicat Systems Ltd., located in the United Kingdom, will develop computer-based training (CBT) for Swissair (Zurich, Switzerland) valued at nearly $250,000.
The courseware to be developed will provide flight management systems (FMS) training for F100 and A310 aircraft to pilots following their transition training ground school courses. The MD-80 training is for emergency equipment operations for pilots and flight attendants and follows the successful introduction of a similar MD-11 safety and emergency training course earlier this year.
According to Swissair, the MD-11 safety and emergency training program significantly reduced training time. That allowed a complete reorganization of the theoretical and practical elements of the transition course and will now be implemented in the MD-80 courseware.
Both FMS and MD-80 emergency courseware is to be introduced into training in early 1993 and will be available for use by the airline industry worldwide from Wicat under a marketing agreement with Swissair.
Wicat Systems Inc. is a world leader in technology-based training and education, providing products and services to significantly improve learning in industry and schools. Wicat stock is traded in the NASDAQ market under the symbol WCAT.
