SWEARY ANGEL; Pressure shows in telly star's bizarre bar outburst: Susan in foul rant as Piers praises Shaheen.

Byline: MARK JEFFERIES

BRITAIN'S Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle showed the strain of being favourite to win with a four-letter rant at a rival.

Susan, 48, dubbed the Hairy Angel because of her frumpy looks, was one of 150 guests at the Wembley Plaza hotel watching Tuesday night's semi-finals.

But the normally demure spinster stunned onlookers by allegedly launching into an expletive-ridden rant.

PRESSURE The Scottish singer is said to have reacted with fury when Piers Morgan described young rival Shaheen Jafargholi as producing "pound for pound the best singing performance in the semi-finals".

Susan then apparently saw red, and is accused of making a two-fingered gesture at the TV before shouting "f*** off" and storming out of the bar - just as we've mocked up, above.

It is one of a number of signs this week she is feeling the pressure of her sudden celebrity and being favourite to win. Her performances have been watched by tens of millions around the world.

At the weekend, she was said to have got tipsy with soccer fans at the hotel just hours before she was due to perform.

She even wore a Scunthorpe FC shirt and told a fan to "sell it on eBay" afterwards. On Sunday night she struggled with the opening notes but went on to sing brilliantly to win through to the finals in her semi-final.

Her performance of Memory from West End show Cats was enough to get her through. But afterwards, she had an awkward appearance on ITV2's Britain's Got More Talent where she seemed nervous and uncomfortable.

Some of her answers to questions barely made sense. At one point she was shown a doll of herself that was for sale. When asked what she thought of it, she put the doll next to her nose instead of giving an answer.

Despite Susan's obvious nerves plenty of show fans are sticking by her.

And thousands have already rushed to the bookies to back her to win BGT, making her the 4/7 favourite.

Spokesman Rupert Adams said: "The vast majority of our customers are convinced Susan is unbeatable and we are taking some very big bets. But Susan Boyle is fast losing her 'underdog' tag and it is possible the hype will prove her downfall."

REHEARSALS Yesterday Susan had her first rehearsals for Saturday's final, where she is expected to reprise the song I Dreamed A Dream from her first audition.

Last night a spokeswoman for the show confirmed Susan had left the bar before the end of the show on Tuesday night.

But she added: "As far as we are aware Susan was not at the bar during Shaheen's performance. She started watching the show there but left early and watched some of the acts in her room as she was being asked for interviews in the bar by journalists."
