SWAROVSKI INTRODUCING THREE GIFTWARE, COLLECTIBLE DESIGNS.

NEW YORK-Swarovski Silver Crystal is introducing three new giftware and collectible designs during the New York Tabletop Show this week.

The Maxi Flower Arrangement, designed by Michael Stamey, joins the Exquisite Accents theme group, offering collectors a year-round floral decoration.

Each piece is made of 43 stones. Three Chrysanthemums are surrounded by faceted leaves that mimic the veins commonly found on real mum leaves. In addition, brilliantly faceted petals reflect the jonquil stone on the pistil, while tiny clear stones at the top of the jonquil stone produce a sparkling effect.

Also being introduced is Young Ballerina, designed by Edith Mair, as part of the "When We Were Young" theme group. Preparing for her dance recital, the Young Ballerina is wearing a tutu and just one ballet slipper as her frosted arms reach down to lace it. Each piece is made of 13 stones. Her body angle and the triangular-type faceting on her bodice produce a stretching effect, and she has a simple, Rosaline-colored hair band holding her ponytail. The Young Ballerina's light sapphire eyes sparkle -- a symbol of her youthfulness.

Also making its debut this week is Siamese Fighting Fish Green, designed by Heinz Tabertshofer, as part of the South Seas theme group. Made of 11 stones, each fish balances on its three light emerald-green fins. The fish's body is faceted to represent the scales seen on actual fish.

Siamese Fighting Fish have become one of the most popular species among fish lovers, spawning their own collectible organizations, according to the company. The Latin name for the fish, Betta Splendens, means "brilliant warrior," a reference to the confrontations between two males, usually ending in the death of one.
