Second-placed Cove Rangers shaved two points off Forres' championship lead with an emphatic 8-0 win at Fort William.

Danny Milne's 13-minute hat-trick was outdone by Martin Johnston's four-goal salvo after the break before a late Michael Taylor goal put Cove four points behind Forres.

Second-half goals from Mark Cowie and Steven Davidson gave Fraserburgh the points at home to Nairn County.

Elsewhere, Wick Academy beat Turriff 2-1 in the far north with goals from Gary Weir and Richard MacAdie. Garry Harris replied for Turriff but it was merely a consolation. A brace from Michele Lombardi helped Deveronvale to a 3-2 home win over brave Strathspey Thistle.

Lombardi netted for Vale and Graham Watt doubled their lead. But Matteusz Bobrowski pulled one back with a header and Gavin Smith levelled for Strathspey.

However, Lombardi had the last laugh with the last kick of the game.

Clach edged out Lossiemouth 3-2 in Inverness. Scott Graham opened the scoring, only for Kevin Grant to level soon after.

Colin Williamson restored Clach's lead just before half-time but Grant again hit back.

Graham scored his second and this time there was no way back for Lossie.

Buckie thrashed hosts Brora Rangers 6-0 thanks to doubles from Zander Sutherland and Hamish Munro and singles from Donnie Munro and Daniel Mackay.

Huntly and Rothes drew 1-1, Rory Watt opening for Rothes and Andrezj Kleczkowski snatching a point.
