Byline: The Register-Guard

The Player: Josh Bidwell, punter, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Winner: New England, 31-20

The Reason: "It's going to be a tight game, but I think New England's offense is, at this point, unstoppable. The Eagles' offense is doing well and clicking, but I just kind of think they'll get stopped a few more times than New England's. The defenses match up pretty well, so I kind of think offense is what's going to make a difference. ... If (Terrell Owens) plays, I just think it'll be because it's his first-ever Super Bowl. I don't think he'll really be a factor. He's not going to be able to cut very hard. If he's out there and makes one hard cut, something could happen, so he'll have to be careful."

The MVP: "I'm just like everybody else, I'm going to go with (Tom) Brady. He's going to have the ball in his hands, so those are the odds. I don't have a sleeper pick or anything."

The Player: Tim Euhus, tight end, Buffalo Bills

The Winner: New England, 34-28

The Reason: "I think New England will win. We played them twice, and they're a good ball club. Quintin Mikell's still with the Eagles, so I kind of hope they win, because a local guy getting a ring would be cool. But New England is so tough. On defense, their linebacking corps is unbelievable. Easily the best linebackers I played against, anyways. Then you've got Tom Brady and the offense. He's so smooth. And they just make plays. They flat out make plays. ... I don't know what Philadelphia's like, but there's a fine line between confidence and cockiness, and New England's right on that side of being very confident. They expect to win every time they go out and play. And it's not just one guy or one position, it's everybody on the team. ...They had the attitude they weren't going to lose, and of course we lose it."

The MVP: "If the Patriots win, probably Tom Brady. I think it'll be one of the quarterbacks, either way."

The Player: Joey Harrington, quarterback, Detroit Lions

The Winner: Philadelphia, 27-24, or New England, 24-17

The Reason: "Is Terrell Owens playing? My prediction is based on that guy. ... I have a hard time going against (Tom) Brady, but I want to see Donovan (McNabb) win. He's a good guy. He's a class act. He's a hard worker, he's fun to watch, he's very personable. He does the little things. ... He's been so close so many times. I hope he gets it. I don't know that there's anybody in the league that I'd like to see win one more than him. ... Terrell Owens does so much for him. He's the kind of guy who can take over a game, to complement Brian Westbrook and Donovan. That's the offensive punch that you're looking for. Not that New England doesn't have something with Brady and Corey Dillon. It's tough to pick against them. They find a way to win."

The MVP: "If T.O. plays, you've got T.O., but you may have a co-MVP with Donovan, because if T.O. plays, Donovan has a great day. If he doesn't play, you're looking at a third MVP trophy for Mr. Brady."

The Player: Keenan Howry, returner, Minnesota Vikings

The Winner: Philadelphia, 25-20

The Reason: "The way Philly's defense has played, they've played pretty well the last couple games. New England's defense is still banged up, and I think with as much stuff as Philly does, especially when they use Westbrook, Terrell Owens if he plays, Freddie Mitchell, I think they'll be able to exploit some weaknesses, especially in their secondary. ... I think it's going to boil down to getting pressure on Brady, frustrating him defensively. Miami and Pittsburgh were able to put a lot of pressure on him. It's hard to do, so you've got to get pressure on him quickly. The pressure that Philadelphia has brought the last few games with their front four, they've been able to do it against some good teams."

The MVP: "I'm going to say (Eagles cornerback) Lito Sheppard. I think he'll have one or two picks in the game."

The Player: Keith Lewis, defensive back, San Francisco 49ers

The Winner: Philadelphia, 17-10

The Reason: "The Patriots have been there before, and I think Philly is a lot hungrier. They have already proven they can win without Terrell Owens. I don't believe he'll be much of a factor at all, just because he's trying to rush himself. Don't get me wrong, the Patriots' defense is tough. That's a tough group. But the only thing is, it comes down to who is hungrier, and I believe Philly is hungrier. Bottom line."

The MVP: "Donovan McNabb. He's been handling the media hype very well. The focus is on T.O. right now and all the pressure's off Donovan, so he's got it made."
