SUNRISE DEBUTS ENHANCED NETWORK PROTOCOL ANALYZER SERVERS.
Ghepardo users can monitor their network and troubleshoot directly from their favorite Web browser. The Ghepardo Protocol Analyzer/Server is Web and server-based, allowing up to 32 users to monitor, share results of four concurrent tests, and conduct surveillance simultaneously from each Ghepardo - - with each user seeing a different view. And, up to 256 Ghepardo servers can be globally deployed and networked on a TCP/IP network.
"The cost effectiveness provided by Ghepardo to network operators in terms of recovering lost revenues and managing their carrier access billings alone can easily result in the Ghepardo paying for itself in a short period of time," according to Paul Chang, president and CEO of Sunrise Telecom.
Unprecedented Call Detail Record (CDR) capabilities for all signaling protocols give network operators new tools to verify that their customer billings are complete. The CDR capabilities provide an important new lever when negotiating carrier access billings, allow implementation of advanced fraud detection and network traffic distribution applications, and give a clear view of the proper implementation of Local Number Portability (LNP) when changing customers over from an Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) to a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC).
SS#7 simulation and testing packages now include SP and STP simulation, bulk call and traffic generation. Each Ghepardo is capable of generating more than 240 signaling links. This provides unique load generation and stress testing capabilities in R&D and manufacturing applications of major equipment providers.
A comprehensive set of GPRS monitoring features have been added to the existing GSM A and Abis Interface, and the SS#7/MAP Analysis package, which allow the Ghepardo to monitor wireless communication in all 7 layers of the protocol stack. These capabilities allow wireless network operators to monitor and verify the entire network for successful wireless voice, data application and Internet deployment. Key among the new features are the statistics for the multiple protocol layers, the TCP/IP protocol trace, the CDR and calls trace with correlation between GSM phone number and IP address.
