SUNRISE ADDS SS7 TRAFFIC TO GEPARDO PROTOCOL ANALYZER.
The SS7 Traffic Generator application automatically tests SS7 traffic routers such as STPs or SS7/IP gateways by generating a maximum load of 95% on a single signaling channel. A single Ghepardo unit manages a maximum of 8 E1/T1 trunks and 248 signaling channels at 64/56 Kbps. A maximum of 4 units can be used in combination, managing 992 signaling channels simultaneously.
As with all other Ghepardo applications, the SS7 Traffic Generator allows users to monitor networks and troubleshoot directly from any Web browser. The Ghepardo Protocol Analyzer/Server operates in both Web-based and server-based environments, allowing up to 32 users to monitor test procedures, share results of four concurrent tests, and conduct surveillance simultaneously from each Ghepardo -- with each user seeing a different view.
The SS7 Traffic Generator also provides statistics in numeric and graphic form at the MTP2/MTP3 message and traffic level. Any anomalies in the instruments being tested, such as traffic congestion or message loss, are indicated by alarm signals.
