SUMMIT TECHNOLOGY CLARIFIES EUROPEAN SALES WALTHAM, Mass., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Summit Technology, Inc.
(NASDAQ: BEAM) announced today that its European sales in 1991 were $9.8 million, not $7 million as recently reported in Barron's. This represents an increase of 15 percent from $8.5 million in 1990. The additional sales above those that were reported in Barron's represent equipment and services delivered from the company's Cork, Ireland, facility. The company would also like to point out that total sales for the first quarter of 1992 represented an increase in revenues of 50 percent over the same quarter in 1991.
Summit Technology, Inc. has established the leadership position in designing, manufacturing and marketing ophthalmic excimer laser systems.
