               MERGES WITH SIGMA RESEARCH CORPORATION
    CANTON, Ohio, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Summit Environmental Group, Inc. announced today that its northeast flagship, HMM Associates, Inc. has merged with Sigma Research Corporation.
    Sigma provides research and consulting services in the environmental and physical sciences specializing in air quality dispersion model development, atmospheric boundary layer research, air quality permitting and licensing and regulatory consulting.  Headquartered in Westford, Mass., the firm services a broad base of domestic and foreign private and public sector clients.
    According to Ted Barten, president of HMM, "Sigma's capabilities in the air quality field have brought it national and international recognition.  We are very impressed with Sigma's people, skills and their prospects for growth.  Sigma's management and operations will remain in place."
    According to Joe Scire, Sigma's CEO, "Teaming with HMM and Summit will allow Sigma to share expertise and broaden its service base.  We are looking forward to working with our new partners as we pursue projects in the expanding and increasingly complex air quality field."
