SUMMER TRAVELERS SAVE UP TO 55 PERCENT ON MARRIOTT'S FAMILY ROOM; KIDS EAT FREE, KIDS STAY FREE, LATE CHECK-OUT, TOO!

WASHINGTON, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites announced today the introduction of Marriott's Family Room, where kids eat free, kids stay free and the fun lasts longer with late check- out.
Marriott Family Room rates start as low as $49 per night and are available seven days a week beginning June 18 through Sept. 6. Summer travelers can choose from 185 participating hotels throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico.
As an added Marriott Family Room bonus, kids can eat free from the children's menu, and up to five people can occupy a room at no extra charge. Free children's menu meals are available at breakfast, lunch and dinner to kids 10 and under, limited to two per adult entree purchased. Marriott is also offering late check-out up to 3 p.m.
Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead. Reservations with non- refundable payment for the entire stay must be made at least 21 days in advance using a major credit card. Marriott Family Room reservations can be made immediately by calling Marriott's toll-free reservations number, 800-527-7777, the participating hotel or a travel agent. Guests can purchase up to four rooms, but the rates are not available to groups. Marriott Family Room rates are offered on a limited basis, and some black-out dates do apply. Marriott Family Room rates are not available at Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn hotels, and may not be combined with other promotional offers or discounts.
According to a U.S. Travel Data Center survey, 88 percent of the respondents planning a vacation this year ranked "being together as a family" as the most important reason for the trip. "We developed Marriott's Family Room as a complete package that provides families meaningful benefits and the strong value of Marriott's advance purchase pricing," said William R. Tiefel, president of Marriott Lodging.
As part of Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites national sponsorship of the Children's Miracle Network, the company will donate $1 for each Marriott Family Room night sold.(A) The total contribution will benefit the network's 165 hospitals for children throughout the country and the 5 million kids they treat each year. The upcoming Children's Miracle Network telethon airs live from Disneyland June 5 and 6.
 (A) The annual Marriott contribution to Children's Miracle Network is a combination of cash and in-kind services that benefit the network's member hospitals.
