SUMITOMO ELECTRIC LIGHTWAVE CORPORATION SELECTS PURCHASING SOFTWARE FROM GEAC VISIONSHIFT

World Class Series Purchasing Provides Cost Effective Solution

TAMPA, Fla., March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Geac Computers, Inc. (Toronto: GAC) today announced the agreement to install its VisionShift(TM) Division World Class Series(TM) Purchase Order software at Sumitomo Electric Lightwave Corporation in North Carolina. Sumitomo is currently a user of several other applications provided by Geac VisionShift including their World Class Series General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable software.

"The purchasing functions were antiquated," noted Sumitomo Electric's Purchasing Manager, John Wright. "We looked at many other products but Geac VisionShift was the most cost effective."

Sumitomo also took advantage of the additional services offered by Geac Visionshift including consulting and custom programming.
