CONFERENCE FACILITIES ON UCLA CAMPUS
GREENSBURG, Pa., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Sulcus Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: SULC), a leading developer of automated systems for the lodging, legal and real estate markets, announced today that the University of California at Los Angeles will install this spring a Sulcus Lodgistix/HMS System which will automate all conference facilities, summer conference housing programs, campus guest houses and sales and catering functions of the University.
U.C.L.A. is one of the largest universities in the United States and is ranked among the six top research institutions. Its annual enrollment is approximately 35,000.
Jeffrey S. Ratner, chairman of Sulcus Computer Corporation said, "The value of this contract to Sulcus goes far beyond the installation and annual maintenance fees. U.C.L.A. created a great challenge due to its highly complex, multi-building facilities spread over 400 acres and encompassing 6,000 rooms. It will one of the first major universities in the United States to adopt Sulcus systems to improve the management of its housing and conference programs and will serve as a model for other institutions.
Sulcus systems are in use worldwide managing some 3,500 hotels and resorts with more than 550,000 rooms. Sulcus customers include such names as Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott, Radisson, Embassy Suites, Nikko Holiday Inn, Four Seasons, Canadian Pacific, Interstate and Commonwealth.
