He says of 11-year-old Sean: ''He's the guy you would look at and say 'that's John McEnroe's kid', he's vocal, yells and it was not fun for anyone to be round him on a tennis court.''
Well okay, I'll buy that. But it was John's comment: ''He's the one who has talked about playing tennis, who tells me he'll be better than me'', that left me wondering if this wasn't more to do with vanity than authority and discipline.
Being beaten is one thing - but by your own son is quite another.
