VERSATILE AND STYLISH COMFY CHAIRS This gorgeous olive green, leather chair from Harvey's (www.
harveysfurniture.co.uk) is a real head turner. Not only does it look good, it's well made. The great thing about leather is the more you use it, the better it looks. Have a peek at the coffee table too. It's the ideal dual function piece, providing drawers for storage. I'm very keen on multi purpose pieces of furniture as they work twice as hard for you. They also punch above their weight when you are short of space. A similar piece in a hallway would provide storage for the bits and bobs that are often abandoned there, providing a trip hazard for the unsuspecting when they return home after dark.
GEAR UP FOR GUESTS Catering for extra guests is easy when you have a sofa bed.
Modern incarnations are a vast improvement on the early versions, which did not give a particularly comfortable night's rest to those obliged to sleep in them. The sofa bed pictured is from MultiYork (www.multiyork.co.uk). This well-designed piece of furniture converts effortlessly into a bed, and back, so you don't have to worry about fighting with an uncooperative conversion mechanism. The dove grey fabric is a very practical option, although there are other colour choices. MultiYork's sofa beds are made to a high standard, so you can expect long-lasting comfort.
WELCOMING WALNUT FOR PERFECT FLOORING This rich walnut floor varnish has given a new lease of life to the floorboards in this sitting room. Available from Sadolin (www.sadolin.
uk), it nourishes and protects the boards, as well as providing a great backdrop for a colourful rug. For a very natural look, the company also a high quality wood oil. This is ideal for wood that has yet to be treated, or for surfaces that have already been oiled. Sadolin also has decking oil that replaces the natural lost to inclement weather and UV light, as well as a worktop oil with a non-drying formula that helps maintains the beauty of your tops for years to come.
