STUPID GUNS.
Many gun magazines have started featuring perverse permutations of black, tactical guns touting innovations and new technology as the drivers. In particular, the August issue of Guns & Ammo reviewed the Mossberg 590M, 20-round "personal defense" shotgun ("Mighty 590M," page 66). This firearm is not innovative, nor does it serve any legitimate purpose. It's just plain ugly and stupid. I would add to the list the Kel-Tec KSG-25 dual tube, 20-round, "tactical shotgun" reviewed in the July issue ("Rule Breakers," page 37). Insanity. And let's not forget Standard Manufacturing's DP-12, 16-shot, double-barrel pump, another serious defense gun. That, too, is more stupidity. (And it's ugly.) These are the fodder the antigun leftists will parade in front of the public while trying to push for more so-called "reasonable gun control." They will explain to the uninformed, malleable citizenry that only mad and evil people could devise such devilish killing machines that have no place in our society. Argued correctly, it would be a pretty persuasive case. Let's not give the other side the grist to make that point. Just because we can build something doesn't mean we have to. Stop the nonsense. Stop featuring these ridiculous weapons in your magazine.
