STONE & WEBSTER ELECTS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT

 NEW YORK, June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Stone & Webster, Incorporated (NYSE: SW) announced that the board of directors elected Kenneth F. Reinschmidt senior vice president of the corporation, effective July 1, 1993.
 Dr. Reinschmidt, 55, continues to be president of Stone & Webster Advanced Systems Development Services, Inc., a subsidiary of the corporation which provides consulting services and software products in the areas of knowledge-based systems, computer-aided design, concurrent design, computer-integrated manufacturing, plant production scheduling, and database management to clients in aerospace, automobile manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, paper, shipbuilding, construction, electric utilities, and other industries. he has also served as a senior vice president of Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation.
 Dr. Reinschmidt joined Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation in 1975. He received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees, all in civil engineering, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. he was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering "for innovative development of productive uses for computers in plant and building design, construction and operation," and was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science "for outstanding contributions to the use of computer graphics in the design and construction of engineering facilities."
