STEPHEN P. HINES JOINS DONALDSON, LUFKIN & JENRETTE IN NEW YORK

 NEW YORK, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Stephen P. Hines has joined Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) in New York as a managing director in the Investment Banking Group, the company announced today. Mr. Hines will concentrate on new business development, focusing on the media and communications industries, as well as working with apparel and retail companies, and principal investment firms.
 Prior to joining DLJ, Mr. Hines had been with Goldman Sachs, where he was a senior banker in the Investment Banking Services Group. Mr. Hines joined the Goldman Sachs Merger Department in 1981, then moved into the New Business Development Group in 1986. While at Goldman Sachs, he was primarily responsible for developing many of the firm's relationships with New York-based clients in the media/communications and apparel industries.
 A 1976 graduate of Harvard College with a B.A. in Economics, Mr. Hines earned an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1981.
