STEPHEN GORE NAMED PRESIDENT OF DETROIT TOOL

 ST. LOUIS, July 29 /PRNewswire/ 1993 -- Sam Fox, chairman and chief executive officer of Harbour Group, announced today the appointment of Stephen J. Gore as President of Detroit Tool, its special machine and stamping business group headquartered in Lebanon, Mo. The Detroit Tool group of companies are designers and manufacturers of special machines and specialty resistance welding machines, tools, dies, and metal stampings. The business group is composed of Detroit Tool & Engineering and Detroit Tool Metal Products, Lebanon, Mo.; Peer Manufacturing Corporation, Benton Harbor, Mich.; and F. J. Potter Company, Winstead, Conn. It employs 700 and has combined sales of $75 million.
 Gore joined Detroit Tool in 1990 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Detroit Tool, he served as Senior Vice President, Finance, and Deputy Managing Director for European Operations for the multinational Harris Adacom Corporation, Overland Park, Kan. Previously, Gore served as chief financial officer for Fermenta Animal Health, Kansas City, and its predecessor, TechAmerica Group, Inc., Elwood, Kan.
 Gore graduated with distinction from the Executive Fellows Program at Rockhurst College in Kansas City with a Master's degree in Business Administration. He holds Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science from Missouri Western State College, St. Joseph. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
 Harbour Group is a privately owned corporation based in St. Louis, Mo. In addition to Detroit Tool, the Harbour Group family of companies encompasses 10 businesses manufacturing carbide and high speed cutting tools, pumps, compressed air dryers and filters, elastomer and teflon sealing products, plastic injection molded and structural foam molded products, resistance welding machines, metal stampings, and specialty machinery. Harbour Group operates 30 plants in the United States, Canada and Europe, with annual revenues in excess of $500 million and employs over 5,000 people.
