STEPAN COMPANY INCREASES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND NORTHFIELD, Ill., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of
Stepan Company (AMEX: SCL) today declared a 13 percent increase in the company's quarterly cash dividend on its common stock to 18 cents per share, up from 16 cents per share. The new quarterly dividend is payable on Dec. 15, 1991, to stockholders of record on Nov. 29, 1991. The increase brings the annual dividend rate to 72 cents per share.
The increase declared at today's meeting marks the 24th consecutive year in which the quarterly dividend rate has been increased. The company first initiated a cash dividend policy in 1967.
