STEELWORKERS CONTRIBUTE $75,000 TO ASSIST VICTIMS OF HURRICANE ANDREW
 PITTSBURGH, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The United Steelworkers of America (USW) is contributing $75,000 to aid the victims of Hurricane Andrew in Florida and Louisiana.
 The gift was announced Tuesday by USW International President Lynn R. Williams to delegates attending the unions' 26th Constitutional Convention here at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
 Of the total, $50,000 comes from the International union treasury and $25,000 from the union's Humanity Fund of Canada.
 Williams said each state will receive $25,000 from the International, with the funds being sent to AFL-CIO federations in those states. The $25,000 from the Humanity Fund will go to community-based organizations.
