STATION CASINOS INC. ENDS QUIET PERIOD FOLLOWING INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING

 LAS VEGAS, Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Station Casinos Inc. (NASDAQ: STCI) announced today that it has completed the standard required 90-day "quiet period" of Securities and Exchange Commission- restricted public comment following the company's initial public offering on May 24.
 Commenting on the occasion, Frank Fertitta III, chairman and president of Station Casinos Inc., stated, "We are looking forward to beginning a comprehensive investor relations program to ensure timely and effective communications with our shareholders and the public. We're also very proud to announce that the projects we outlined prior to our stock offering have progressed successfully and are on schedule."
 In June, Station Casinos broke ground on the St. Charles Riverfront Station, a riverboat gambling complex to be located on a 52-acre site along the Missouri River in St. Charles, Mo. On Aug. 5, Station Casinos broke ground on its Boulder Station Hotel & Casino, a 40-acre gaming complex located in East Las Vegas.
 Glenn Christenson, vice president and chief financial officer, stated, "This continues to be a very exciting time for us. We recently reported our first quarter earnings with record revenues and operating income for fiscal 1994 and have begun construction on two projects which, when completed, will almost triple the size of Station Casinos Inc."
 On July 22, the company reported net revenues for the quarter of $42.7 million, a 19 percent increase over net revenues of $35.9 million for the same quarter of the prior fiscal year. Income before taxes for the quarter increased 37 percent to $5.8 million for the first quarter of 1994, compared to $4.2 million for the fiscal 1993 first quarter. Pro forma net income increased to $3.8 million, or $0.14 per share, for the quarter, compared to $2.8 million, and $0.10 per share, for the first quarter of fiscal 1993.
 Station Casinos Inc. is a multijurisdictional gaming enterprise that owns and operates the Palace Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, as well as slot machine route management and vending and pay phone service businesses in southern Nevada and Louisiana.
