STATESWEST ANNOUNCES HIGHEST LOAD FACTOR IN THE AIRLINES' HISTORY
 PHOENIX, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- StatesWest Airlines Inc. reported June 1992 passenger enplanements were up 9.5 percent to 33,118, compared to 30,253 for June 1991. The carrier's June 1992 traffic capacity was 9,362,827 available seat miles (ASM) producing a load factor of 50.3 percent. ASMs for June 1991 totaled 16,056,983 producing a load factor for that period of 35.4 percent. Revenue passenger miles (RPM) for June 1992 totaled 4,710,072, a decrease of 17.1 percent, compared to 5,678,398 for June 1991.
 Rudy R. Miller, StatesWest's chairman, president and chief executive officer, stated, "Passenger load factor for June was the highest ever recorded in any month of our six-year history of operations, and the first time we advanced above the 50 percent mark. Passenger carried in June broke all previous June records and is the second-highest number of passengers ever boarded by StatesWest."
 Miller concluded, "June operating results hit all goals set by the airlines' management team and July's passenger bookings are the strongest in the airlines' history. We expect to post our first quarterly operating profit for the fiscal third quarter ended June 30, 1992, followed up by a profitable fourth quarter ending Sept. 30."

 StatesWest operates under code-share agreements with both USAir and Northwest Airlines feeding flights for the total travel network for USAir, and flights to the Pacific-Rim system for Northwest Airlines. Traffic flows through the hub cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco. The airline operates approximately 4,000 monthly departures serving 12 western cities.
