GET A NEW SUPERMARKET LOCATION
COLTON, Calif,, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The largest supermarket chain in the greater Inland Empire, serving the "heartland" of Southern California, has scheduled the opening of the first of three new supermarket locations in the city of Rialto, Calif. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 1991. Each of the three new locations will replace existing Stater Bros. markets nearby. The existing Stater Bros. located on the southwest corner of Foothill Boulevard and Acacia Avenue has been serving Stater Bros. "valued" customers since 1955. Stater Bros. has been serving the Rialto area since to 1946.
The new South Rialto Stater Bros. supermarket was constructed in 20 weeks and three days. It is located at the southeast corner of Foothill Boulevard and Acacia Avenue, across the street from the existing Stater Bros. supermarket, and will anchor the 10-acre Foothill-Acacia Plaza. The new Stater Bros. supermarket is approximately 40 percent larger than the existing Stater Bros. supermarket. Many new departments such as an on-premises bakery, a full-service delicatessen, as well as an expanded full-service meat department and an enlarged fresh produce department are among the many new features.
The new Stater Bros. supermarket is 35,232 square feet in size. It will feature Stater Bros. "award-winning blue ribbon" meat department, a "fresh" on-premises service bakery featuring fresh daily baked breads and pastries, a full service delicatessen and take-out food department, as well as an expanded "garden fresh" produce department. More than 26,000 items will be featured at Stater Bros.' famous low prices. Stater Bros. Markets is the low price leader in the "heartland" of Southern California.
