STATEMENT FROM CWA, IBEW AND AT&T ON STATUS OF NEGOTIATIONS
WASHINGTON, May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Following is a joint statement from the Communications Workers of America (CWA), the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and AT&T on the status of negotiations:
AT&T, CWA and IBEW are continuing talks on a national agreement. We expect to remain at the table and continue to bargain past the contract expiration of 11:59 p.m. EDT so long as the parties feel that progress is being made.
We have made progress in intense negotiations over the course of the day, and we hope to be able to achieve a settlement, but we cannot predict at this time when a settlement might come.
