STATE FUNDS HELP BUILD BUSINESSES, CREATE JOBS IN LUZERNE COUNTY
HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Gov. Robert P. Casey today announced a $959,619 grant to support construction of a truck terminal, business office and warehouse in Dupont, Luzerne County, Pa., which will create 127 jobs within the next three years.
"Pennsylvania is making strategic investments in its businesses and communities to create more jobs for its working men and women," Casey said.
Northeast Delivery Inc. is investing $3 million in land and building costs to establish a trucking distribution center. The Borough of Dupont will receive the state funds to widen Route 315, extend Grove Street and build sewer lines to the site.
"The funding is being provided under our Business Infrastructure Development (BID) program, just one of the ways the state helps communities and businesses to create new jobs," Casey said.
