 STARSTREAM COMMUNICATIONS GROUP SIGNS AGREEMENT
 WITH WARNER MUSIC INTERNATIONAL
HOUSTON, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Starstream Communications Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SCGI) announced today that it has signed the final agreement with a Time-Warner company, Warner Music International (Germany), to distribute its extensive library in Poland. The library consists of Warner Bros. Records, Atlantic Records and the Elektra Records labels. Distribution will be handled by Starstream's Eastern European entity, Polton Record Co.
The term of the agreement extends to 1994 and calls for Starstream, through its Polton Record Co., to act as Warner Music's exclusive licensee in Poland. The catalog includes such major recording artists as Madonna, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart and Dire Straits. The company expects the gross revenues from the multiyear Warner Music contract to exceed $7 million.
Gary R. Firth, president and chief executive officer, stated that "The acquisition of the Polton Record Co. in 1990 and the completion of this exclusive distribution agreement with Warner Music International positions the company to move forward with its plans to be a major force in the music industry in Poland, with a view toward accomplishing the same goals in other surrounding Eastern European countries."
The company also announced that its Polton Record Co. opened its first music retail store in Warsaw, Poland. Firth went on to say, "The overwhelming response to Starstream's western type retailing concept has paved the way for further growth for Polton in Poland."
Starstream Communications Group Inc. is engaged in the production and distribution of nationally sponsored radio promotions and customized music-oriented publications in the United States and audio cassettes, LPs and compact discs in Poland.
