A SCOTS expat who became an internet hit after trying to order a roll and square sausage at an American drivethrough can be revealed.
A clip of Martin Miller, 30, trying to get a traditional Scottish breakfast snack along with a "bottle of juice" has gone viral on the web.
After we tracked down Martin, originally from Hamilton, at his new home in Mobile, Alabama, he explained he played the prank after finding nobody understood his accent.
He said: "I love making videos and it's been a bit of a running joke over here that nobody understands my Scottish accent so I thought I'd have a bit of fun with it.
"Wherever I go people are asking me to repeat myself, they just generally don't understand Scottish culture, this is the deep south so people aren't at all like they are back home in Hamilton.
"Nobody has ever heard of square sausage and they don't have a clue what a bottle of juice is either."
Martin moved to the US a year ago after marrying partner Caroline, 25. The couple met in Australia while backpacking.
He now works in a mobile phone shop in Alabama, while Caroline is studying medicine. In his YouTube clip Martin tries to order a hangover breakfast at a drive-through.
He asks: "Are you doin' burgers or are ye doin' break-break fast the noo? Gonnae gie us a bottle of juice and do you do any roll and square sausage?" After repeating his request he gives up and says: "Just forget it pal, just forget it" and drives off.
